Stuff...

Here are a few of the random things that I've felt like posting but haven't had the time.
A few posts ago I mentioned that I had made my cousins cake. At the reception I hung out with my mom, Lainey, Jen and my grandparents. We were sitting at the table just chatting when I
 noticed this.
Nothing too strange right? Look closer.

That's right, my grandpa was spelling with the decorative pebbles. I guess we just weren't entertaining enough for him.
In other news, we have sold all of our cute little puppies. In memory of them I'm posting some cute pictures of them just being cute.

So the puppies pretty much just sleep any and everywhere. The photo at the top is where they have all climbed under the desk into the back corner. You can only see two but the other two are even farther behind the desk. The boy had rolled out of the bed in his sleep and didn't even wake up.

The white girl was the last one left and after while I'd get ready in the mornings she'd climb into my bed. Kind of annoying but still super cute.

This is the only place high enough that Jinx could get to where the puppies couldn't reach her. She looks pretty comfy eh?

Life Saving Award

So Nolan's going to get annoyed at me for bragging about him but I'm proud of him so I'm going to brag. A few weeks ago Nolan went on a medical call with his sergeant. A 19-year-old kid had overdosed. Nolan and his sergeant did CPR on him until the paramedics got there. After he'd been stabalized at the hospital the doctors told them that if they hadn't done CPR when they did, the kid would have died. Nolan, being the great guy he is, went over his sergeant's head and nominated him for a Life Saving Award. Well Brigham City had their awards banquet on Friday night and we found out that not only did they give they Life Saving Award to Nolan's Sergeant, but they gave it to Nolan as well. He doesn't think he deserved it because he says he didn't do anything (ya right). Either way, I'm so proud of him. Even if he thinks he doesn't deserve the award, he does so much every day that goes pretty much unappreciated. How many people can say that they willingly do a job where they have to wear a bullet proof vest every single day for their own protection? He does it and he loves it. He does his best to act like a big tough jerk, but he really enjoys helping people out. I am very proud of my hubby for what he does every single day and I think it's pretty cool that he got a little bit of recognition for it.

Who wants one?

Aren't they so freaking cute! I keep trying to post them on KSL but it kicks me off when I'm halfway through. Stupid thing. And no, we didn't lose one. Kendra and Cody are taking one so I didn't take pictures of that one. These are the photos that I'm trying to put up on KSL. The salt and pepper is Nolan's favorite. He holds her all the time! The little white girl follows me all over the apartment and if I'm sitting down, she wants to be in my lap. The boy is such a boy. He picks on his sisters and tries to get in to everything. I already know that Shawna is going to sneak one home. Who else wants one?

Craig and Caitlin's Wedding

I know I said I wasn't blogging but I had to show off the pretty cake I made for my cousin's (second cousin technically) wedding. Top and bottom tiers are real cake, middle tiers are Styrofoam. They forgot to order flowers to go on the cake so the rose petals are from the groom's spare boutonniere that I stole. One project down, too many to go.

Just so you know...

I know it's been a bit since I posted (or at least it feels like it) but this will also probably be my last post until after December 9th when finals are over. This month is going to be insane. I have 7 papers to write, all the reading to do before I can actually write the papers, 4 accounting assignments to do, 2 final tests to take and 1 huge final paper to write. I also agreed to do my cousins wedding cake next week so I'm fairly high stressed right now. By fairly I mean that I'm just short of a full on mental breakdown. I'm going crazy trying to keep up with work, school, homework, stupid wedding cake, puppies, bills and house work. That is why right now my house is unfit for company, so if you want to see our cute 2 1/2 week old puppies, I need at least 45 minutes notice so I can clear a path from the door to the puppies. Other than my craziness it's been fairly uneventful around here. I had planned to blog about Nolan's birthday but Lonna stole my thunder and thus my motivation for said post. We celebrated his birthday a day early on his day off. I had to do some cake prep at my parents house so we went out there and he played the new Call of Duty with my dad while I worked. I made green chili and fritos for Nolan and the rest of my family and gave Nolan his presents too. He's spoiled. I bought him the 16 GB iPod touch, a new Arizona hoodie and an Arizona t-shirt. He seemed pretty happy with it. Well, unless something huge happens in the next three weeks I'll talk to ya'll after finals. Peace!!

3rd Anniversary... kinda.

So today happens to be the third anniversary of our (second) first date. I say second first date because we had dated a few years before but I very sweetly broke up with him over the phone while he was out of town. Don't judge me, I still feel bad about it. Anyway... Three years ago today Nolan and I went on our first date. We got five buck pizza from Pizza Hut and rented Wicker Park from Clean Flicks (which we still have, I know, we're thieves). We goofed around and talked a lot and ended up putting in a second movie, Lilo and Stitch. We all know what happens during the second movie. We were pretty much inseparable after that and 3 months later we got engaged. I know it's corny but I always remember this anniversary. We'd been friends for so long that I knew from the beginning that this would either end in marriage or the loss of my best friend. Luckily for me we go married! Nolan will probably never read this because he thinks blogging is ridiculous but still, just so everyone else knows, I love Nolan SO much and I'm so happy we both had the guts to try dating again.
