Flu Season

Vaccinations. Touchy subject, right. I know, and I get that everyone has their own opinions, and the right to those opinions as well. I'm not going to get into a deep discussion about it here because I don't feel like writing for that long. What I can't stand though is a 24-year-old beauty school dropout spouting off about how doctors are greedy and useless, and vaccinations don't do anything besides cause autism. If you want to do your research and still decide vaccinations aren't for you, fine, but forgive me if I don't let my kids play with yours during whooping cough season. Personally I'm going to trust the doctors, scientists and researchers who have DECADES of experience in their fields vs. your 1 hour on Google.

The Joys of Working from Home

It's almost 2 am. I've been sitting here for half an hour trying to get my file to load so I can go to bed. Because, you know, kids wake up at 8 whether I went to bed at 10, 12 or 2. It's pretty depressing when you press the "I'm still listening" button on Pandora for the third time in one night. All I wanted was to be in bed early enough to watch an episode of Haven before going to sleep. Was that really too much to ask? Apparently. I really do like my job, just not at 2 am.
