My baby is 10 months old! Holy cow! Where did the time go? Granted I've only had him home for 8 months but still... He's getting so big! At his last check up he weighed 13 lbs. 5 oz. He's still so small that the only thing registering on the growth chart is his head and even then it's at the bottom of the scale! But the pediatrician says that even though he's tiny he's doing wonderful! He's finally figured out how to crawl and now he's everywhere! His favorite place to be right now is on the bottom ledge of the coffee table.

He's also in love with the dogs. He freaks out Jinx so anytime he gets close to her she takes off but Atticus is really curious about him. He lets Rodney grab and climb all over him while he just lies still and occasionally gets a lick in.

In the morning while I'm making Rodney's bottle and my breakfast I leave the sliding back door open for the dogs. Rodney has never even looked twice at the open door but when I turned around and couldn't see him in the living room this is what I found.

He'd made it outside and was checking out the patio chair! I laughed and brought him back in and set him down with his toys in the living room so I could finish breakfast. Not 30 seconds later I checked on him and he was gone again!!

He was SO out of there! Halfway across the yard and still moving! What an adventurous little fart! He loves being out in the yard now and as soon as he hears the door open he tries to make a break for it.
He's absolutely in love with food and he's figured out that mom and dad have much tastier food than he does. If we're sitting on the couch with a snack he pulls himself up and starts hollering until we share!
Our newest challenges with him have gone hand in hand with how active he's getting. He's fascinated with the dog food and I've already lost count of how many times I've had to dig it out of his mouth. He's also discovered the stairs but since they're at the end of the hall we usually catch him before he starts climbing. Rodney's new project has been to pull every DVD off the shelf as soon as his mommy puts them all away. At this point I just leave the DVDs in a pile until nap time. I'm coming to accept that my house isn't going to be very clean anymore.
