Finally!!!

In case you haven't heard, I am finally pregnant! I say finally because I've been off of birth control for 2 1/2 years and it's been veryfrustrating. We started seeing a specialist after a year but decided not to try anything drastic and just work on getting me through school. Even though that was our decision it still made for lots of frustration when each new month rolled around and once again, not pregnant. We finally started working with the doctor again and after lots of appointments more negative pregnancy tests then I wanted to count, 3 "fun" examinations, 4 awkward specimen jars, 3 blood draws, 2 rounds of Chlomid, 2 home ovulation kits and 2 uncomfortable procedures I finally got to see this...

Can I just say how awesome the digital pregnancy test are? So much easier to figure out then a regular test. Granted, when it says "Not Pregnant" it really sucks, but I still like these better. Since I'm an infertility patient they had us come in at 8 weeks to make sure we had a heart beat. I thought that we'd just get to hear it but they did the whole ultrasound and this is what we got to see.

It was so crazy getting to hear that little heartbeat and see that there's actually something growing inside me! We went in a few weeks ago for the regular 1st trimester ultrasound and that little bean was bouncing! It was really cool and I kept messing up the ultrasound because I was giggling at how much the little thing was moving! It even looks like a baby in this picture!

So as of right now I'm 17 weeks along and we'll find out whether we're having a boy or a girl on

May 11th and then it time to go shopping!

On a different note, I'm FINALLY going to graduate on May 8th which means it's time to PARTY! Our house is slowly coming together also. We're down to only needing 2 more sets of blinds and we bought new bedroom furniture including a King size bed. Since Atticus thinks he should sleep on the bed we now have the room for it.
